EOT1 Field Notes | October 2026
Each One Teach 1 Inc. · Issue 01 · October 10, 2026
A park. A promise. A community moving forward.
Your monthly look at the people, places and practical steps strengthening rural Appalachia.

Welcome to EOT1 Field Notes. A neighborhood grows stronger when people have somewhere to gather, somewhere safe to live, and someone willing to help them take their next step. That is the connection behind our work at Each One Teach 1 Inc.
This first issue brings the work into one place: Warhawk Park, the Promise Pointe housing vision, veterans and mentorship, education and health, the advisory team, and the records that help you see how the organization operates. Read what interests you, share one story, and choose one way to participate.
Your three-minute briefing
- See the park story: new homepage photographs connect the pavilion’s construction with a wider view of Warhawk Park.
- Follow the housing vision: Promise Pointe remains a proposed affordable-housing initiative, with concepts and a proposed organizational chart available to explore.
- Look behind the mission: our transparency page brings annual reports, both IRS letters, and the park financial utilization sheet together.
01 / Warhawk Park: a place worth showing up for
Basketball courts. Picnic tables. A shelter where people can gather. These are the everyday details that turn a patch of ground into a place with meaning.
Our homepage now shows the Warhawk Park sign, the pavilion during construction, and the broader park photograph. Together, they tell a simple story: community spaces take work, and the work is easier to understand when you can see it.
We have also added WVVA’s report from May 20, 2024. It is a historical look at the future park site, rather than a new report about today’s project status. Watch it alongside the park photographs to see the early vision and the place it helped bring into public view.

02 / Promise Pointe: follow the work behind the rendering
A housing rendering can show what a neighborhood might look like. Developing a neighborhood requires much more: a feasible site, appropriate design, financing, infrastructure, approvals, and people who can carry the work forward.
Promise Pointe represents our affordable-housing vision in Tazewell. The website gives you access to concept imagery and the proposed project organizational chart. These are planning materials. They do not announce completed homes, approved financing, a construction start, or an open housing application.
As this work develops, Field Notes will distinguish confirmed milestones from the next decisions still ahead. If you bring housing, construction, lending, planning, accessibility, or community-development experience, we welcome a conversation about where that knowledge could help.

03 / The people behind the purpose
Our advisory team brings together experience in service, mentorship, community engagement, agriculture, and regional opportunity. Meet Tyrone Jimmy McGeachy, Alauna Monroe D. Goode, Jason Tartt, Sr., Amelia Bandy, and Ty B Smith on the updated advisory page.
Jason’s profile connects readers with T&T Organics, while Amelia’s profile connects readers with Economic Development Greater East (EDGE). These links help you learn about the people and organizations in our network. Each organization has its own work and responsibilities.
04 / Veterans, learning and healthier communities
Housing and recreation are part of a larger mission. Each One Teach 1 Inc. also focuses on education, health, mentorship, and economic opportunity. Our website’s veteran-resources video reflects the importance of helping people find information and encouragement through community.
Our interests in student nutrition and community health ask a practical question: how can learning, access to food, movement, and supportive relationships reinforce one another? These are areas for continued collaboration, rather than claims of completed research or proven program results.
If you are an educator, veteran, coach, mentor, health professional, or community organization, tell us about a need you see and the experience you could contribute. A useful partnership starts with a specific conversation.

05 / Open the records. Follow the progress.
Supporters deserve an easy way to find the documents behind an organization. Our Transparency & Annual Reports page now gathers the available annual-report filings, the park financial utilization sheet, and the distinct 2022 and 2026 IRS determination letters. Both letters remain available and are labeled by date.
Read the source records directly. If you have a question about a document, use the contact page so it can be addressed clearly.
This month’s One Small Action challenge
Choose one person who cares about Tazewell, veterans, housing, or youth opportunity. Send them this issue with one sentence explaining why the work matters to you. Then choose a second action: introduce a potential partner, ask about volunteering, or support the mission.
Your voice matters: what would make Warhawk Park more useful to your family or neighborhood? Send us your idea. Please leave private personal, medical, or financial details out of your message.
What to watch in the next issue
We will keep looking for documented project milestones, community ideas, partnership opportunities, and the next practical step. When there is no new milestone to report, we will say so and explain the work still ahead. The next issue is planned for November 10, 2026.
